About Beyond Your Limits
Beyond Your Limits supports at-risk adolescents ages 10 to 17 in Porter and the Northeast Houston area through mentoring, life-skills coaching, and intervention services. Its Young Warriors Reading Project uses culturally appropriate books and conversation to help youth explore identity, peer pressure, decision-making, and social issues. The organization also provides school supplies to students and low-income families through its annual backpack giveaway, giving donors a way to support both personal growth and everyday school needs.
The Young Warriors Reading Project pairs more than 500 books with interactive discussions that connect reading to adolescent development and real-life choices. Beyond Your Limits also extends that support beyond programming, donating more than 300 backpacks during its 2022 giveaway and more than 100 books to a juvenile detention center.

Annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway
Provides backpacks equipped with school supplies for elementary, middle, and high school youth in the community, with a focus on assisting low-income families and youth in need.
