Bozeman Actors Theatre
About Bozeman Actors Theatre
Bozeman Actors Theatre brings live performances and stage readings to Bozeman with local talent at the center. If you care about theater that does more than fill a night, this is the kind that aims to spark real conversation after the curtain call. Donations help cover the people and pieces that make the work happen, from cast and crew fees to venues, sets, props, costumes, and other production costs.
What sets Bozeman Actors Theatre apart is its mix of full productions and staged readings, all shaped by a stated commitment to inclusivity, artistic intention, community, and civility. It is also volunteer-governed, with roots in the Montana theatre community and a history that reaches through venues in Bozeman and southwest Montana.

Our story
Bozeman Actors Theatre got its start in 2008 as Actors Theatre of Montana, producing plays and readings in places like the Black Box Theater on the Montana State University campus, The Dulcie in Livingston, The Verge (Equinox) Theater, and The Ellen Theatre in Bozeman. In 2014, a core group of actors and community members formed Bozeman Actors Theatre, the company was incorporated in Montana, and The Language Archive became the first production under the new name.
