Overview

About Bozeman High School Lacrosse

Bozeman Lacrosse is where high school boys and girls in Bozeman, the Gallatin Valley, and surrounding counties get to keep lacrosse close to home. Each spring, it fields D1 and D2 teams, and players who want more field time can also join Fall Ball. Donations help keep the program running and support scholarships for players who need them, which means more students can stay in the sport and be part of the community around it.

This is one of the few places in Montana where both boys and girls can play high school lacrosse in the same community, with D1 and D2 roster levels in the mix. The program also has a real track record on the field, plus a milestone that stands out: it was the first in Montana to have a player recruited directly to a Division I college team.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this nonprofit and how its work happens.

How are players placed on D1 and D2 teams?

Each spring, the program fields two team levels, and coaches place players on the roster that best fits them. If a player is not on D1 yet, they go to D2, and once games begin in April, rosters usually stay set unless an injury means someone needs to step in.

Can students play another school sport and still play lacrosse?

Yes, students can still play spring lacrosse if they are taking part in a fall or winter school-sanctioned sport. If they want to play a spring school-sanctioned sport, they need direct permission from both coaches.

Does the program offer extra lacrosse time outside the main season?

Yes. Fall Ball is optional for players who want extra time on the field.

How are donations used?

Donations help cover coaches' pay, field use fees, equipment, officials' fees, and scholarships for players who need support.

Donations are processed securely by Every.org, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity that acts as the merchant of record — handling tax receipts and 50-state solicitation compliance before disbursing funds to this nonprofit.
