About Catch the Cure
Since 2007, Catch the Cure has raised more than $196,500 for Parkinson’s disease research and support for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Its main fundraiser, Paddle for Parkinson’s, brings that work to North Padre Island through a professionally timed kayak and stand-up paddle board race, giving participants a direct way to support the cause while taking part in a community event.
Paddle for Parkinson’s turns Parkinson’s disease fundraising into a professionally timed race on North Padre Island, with a 2.5-mile loop and individual and team categories. The event grew from Catch the Cure’s original fishing tournaments and was created to welcome a broader range of participants.
