About Comfort Table And Food Pantry
In Comfort and surrounding areas, Comfort Table and Food Pantry helps make sure hunger does not decide what is on the table. The pantry feeds approximately 130 families each month, while the Wednesday community supper serves approximately 120 to 150 meals each week. Its Backpack program also sends food home with approximately 90 local students every week, helping provide meals beyond the school day.
Food support here follows people into the places where it matters most: the pantry, the Wednesday supper, local schools, and the homes of clients who cannot travel. Comfort Table and Food Pantry also connects people with counseling through Hill Country Family Services of Kendall County.

People seeking pantry assistance come to the Food Pantry, complete an application or intake form, and may receive food twice a month. The pantry is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and the first and third Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Community meals are served Wednesday evenings from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Income guidelines apply, and counseling is available through the organization's partnership with Hill Country Family Services of Kendall County.
