About Humane Society Of Dallas County
At Humane Society of Dallas County, the work starts with the animals that need a place to land most. The shelter provides adoption, foster, surrender, rescue, and care for cats and dogs in Dallas County, along with lost-and-found help and education for people who want to do right by their pets. If you care about giving animals a safer next step, this is a place that keeps the path open. It serves indigent, abused, neglected, and homeless cats and dogs with practical, local help.
What stands out here is how many moments of an animal's life the organization can touch. A cat or dog can come in for shelter care, move into foster, be connected with adoption, or be helped through a surrender or lost-and-found situation. That same work is paired with responsible pet ownership education for the Dallas community.
