Missoula Community School
About Missoula Community School
Missoula Community School gives children ages 2 to 6 a place to learn by doing, asking, and returning to ideas over time. In Missoula, that means classrooms shaped around Reggio Emilia-inspired early education, with mindfulness, community-based enrichment, and scholarship support that helps more families access it. For donors, the appeal is simple: this is a school built around how young children actually learn, with room for curiosity, confidence, and social-emotional growth to take root early.
What sets Missoula Community School apart is the way it keeps child-led learning at the center while also making space for mindfulness, Indigenous cultural connections, and community partnerships. Its age-organized classrooms, from two-year-olds through pre-K, let the curriculum meet children where they are, with a clear focus on citizenship and environmental stewardship.

In their words
"Missoula Community School is the best! My son attended since he was 2 years old, and he thrived in the enriching, playful environment focused on kindness and mindfulness. He loves all of his teachers and the administration is amazing. We love you, Missoula Community School!" — Montana J.
"We were so lucky to find MCS for our son's preschool years! The school curriculum emphasizes social and emotional development, mindfulness, and community service, thus building a solid foundation for our kids to go out into the world and make it a better place. We still go back to MCS for summer camp, and look forward to supporting this wonderful school for years to come. MCS is a Missoula treasure!" — Ashley C.
"This is the best preschool ever! We spent six consecutive years here with two children attending for three years each. The staff are wonderful, and the social emotional skills my children were introduced to, at such a young age, have been very beneficial as they transitioned to elementary school. Both of my children loved their time at the school!" — David K.
