About Neighborhood Kidz Club
Neighborhood KidZ Club brings tutoring, Bible clubs, summer reading, enrichment activities, and family support into local communities in Katy, TX. More than 100 children receive after-school tutoring across several communities, while students in the Summer Reading Club average 100 books during the project. Your gift helps keep these free opportunities close to home for children, youth, and families.
Neighborhood KidZ Club meets families in the neighborhoods where they live, including mobile home communities and apartment complexes. Its free support reaches beyond homework help, with literacy programs, church partnerships, family assistance, and activities that give children and youth places to learn, gather, and grow.
Programs

After-School Tutoring
Free homework assistance and specialized tutoring during the school year for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The program operates in Neighborhood KidZ Club learning centers and serves children at no cost.
Bible Club
Bible clubs for children ages 4 through fifth grade and other age groups, featuring Bible stories, verse memorization, lessons about salvation, games, and worship.
Summer Reading
A summer reading program in which students read books at or above grade level, reflect on what they read, and receive prizes for completed reading.
Discipleship

Vacation Bible School
Neighborhood KidZ Club partners with local churches to provide children with Vacation Bible School and day-camp experiences, including transportation in some cases.
Enrichment Camps and Activities
Activities include art, drama, horse, music, science, ukulele, puppet shows, and other opportunities led by community members, students, and local organizations.
Family Literacy Program
Families receive bilingual book packets to read together. Children return books and activity sheets and receive prizes to encourage continued reading.
Backpack and School Supply Distribution
New backpacks filled with school supplies are provided to participating students.
Christmas Gift Distribution
Participating children receive Christmas gifts and stockings provided by local organizations.
Angels of Light
Families are transported to Second Baptist Church for an evening with food, entertainment, a presentation of the Gospel, Christmas gifts for children and youth, and grocery bags for adults and youth.
ESL Classes
Community volunteers provide English-language classes for family members seeking to increase their English knowledge and proficiency.
Home Repair Projects
Neighborhood KidZ Club pairs families with home repair needs with church teams for projects such as deck and step repairs and painting.
Women's Ministry
Periodic Spanish Bible studies and special events are offered for women in communities where Neighborhood KidZ Club is present.
Block Parties and Family Events
Neighborhood KidZ Club facilitates block parties, Easter celebrations, and other family-oriented community events.

Neighborhood KidZ Club exists to make a difference in the lives of children, youth, and families in local communities by addressing practical, spiritual, academic, and social needs. Its vision is to change hearts, change minds, and change communities.
