About Northside Center Inc
At Northside Education Center, an old school facility is still busy with possibility. Each year, it serves approximately 2,400 area residents through college courses, GED preparation, workforce training, tutoring, computer education, small business resources, and community spaces. Since 2007, more than 1,800 students have enrolled in Wharton County Junior College classes there, while workforce trainings have reached approximately 300 people per year since 2014.
Northside Education Center brings college and career training to El Campo through partnerships with Wharton County Junior College and other educational institutions. Its historic school facility also offers a public computer lab, classrooms, conference rooms, and an auditorium for residents, businesses, and local organizations.
