Omar Welfare Association
About Omar Welfare Association
For low-income families trying to stay steady in Houston, immigration paperwork is rarely just paperwork. Omar Welfare Association helps with affordable legal representation for cases like asylum, VAWA, U visas, family-based petitions, naturalization, TPS, DACA renewals, and deportation defense, so people are not left to sort it out alone. It also offers health education, shelter referrals, citizenship classes, job referral, Texas benefits forms, and hot food, which makes the support feel rooted in real life, not just in a case file.
OWA stands out because its help does not stop at immigration filings. Alongside legal services, it offers women’s reproductive health education, preventive care awareness, and referral-based community support that includes shelter referrals, citizenship classes, job referral, Texas benefits forms, and hot food.
