About Road Runners Club Of America
West Texas Running Club gives runners of all ages and abilities a reason to show up, whether that means joining a group run in Lubbock, training for a race, or entering one of the club’s recurring road races. With about 600 members and 13 races staged during the year, the club creates steady opportunities for connection, physical fitness, and wellness. Donations also support scholarships for students, including Texas Tech University students and undergraduates from West Texas who meet the requirements.
The club’s monthly regional race calendar welcomes runners across age and ability levels, while its regular group runs give people a way to train together and exchange running techniques. It also connects distance running with student scholarships, including awards of up to $1,000 per semester under stated eligibility requirements.
