About Alliance For Women And Children
On an average day, ACARE serves 575 children from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in Abilene and surrounding communities. The licensed after-school program gives children a safe, nurturing place to build academic, social, emotional, and personal leadership skills, while financial assistance helps make care available to families who cannot afford it. The Alliance also creates opportunities for girls and women age 12 and older to participate as members and leaders.
ACARE is described as the largest state-licensed after-school care program in Abilene and surrounding communities, serving children across multiple school districts. It was the first after-school care program in the nation to implement the Leader in Me Program and is a Texas Rising Star Program.

Membership is available to girls and women age 12 and older. Members may access programs, serve as leaders, support the mission, and participate in organizational functions.
Facility Rentals
The organization offers office space for nonprofits, auditorium, boardroom and classroom space, playground, kitchen access, on-site security, and high-speed internet.
