Bethel Central American Ministries
About Bethel Central American Ministries
Bethel Central American Ministries gives donors a direct way to support gospel work in Central America without losing sight of the practical side of ministry. It helps fund missionaries and national workers, Christian camps, and student sponsorships, with work in Honduras and Nicaragua that reaches children, youth, families, churches, and schools. If you care about Christian teaching that shows up in real places and real needs, this is the kind of organization that keeps that support moving.
BCAM is especially focused on connecting donors to a network of Honduran and Nicaraguan ministries, rather than keeping support at a distance. Its emphasis on national workers, camp-based discipleship, and practical help gives its work a grounded, local feel.

Our story
Bethel Central American Ministries grew out of Jim and Sharon Haesemeyer’s long ministry in Honduras and a later effort to channel donor support into Central American mission work. In the early 2000s, a vision formed for a Christian camp in Nicaragua. Planning began in 2006, and BCAM was formed to develop funds and direct donations toward that work and related ministries.
Stories
The people behind the work.
In their words
Because of a tragic scandal, we found the little church in the town in which we settled to be leaderless and discouraged.
Our purpose is to support the efforts of our Christian brothers in evangelizing and discipling. If the Lord allows it, we desire to plant new churches and raise up godly men to lead in these congregations.
Our ministry consists of outreach to children and youth in an area of north Managua called Anexo Miraflores Batahola.
We minister by going door-to-door sharing the gospel as well as through evangelistic campaigns.
