Overview

About Cafe Momentum Pittsburgh

Café Momentum Pittsburgh gives justice-involved young people a paid place to work, learn, and get real support while they do it. In Pittsburgh, that means hands-on culinary training alongside case management, mental health support, financial education, and community service experience. The result is a program that meets interns in the restaurant and keeps meeting them everywhere else their lives need support.

What sets Café Momentum Pittsburgh apart is the setup itself: a public restaurant paired with a justice-involved youth internship and wraparound support. The local Community Services Center gives interns a place to study, recharge, and access help beyond the dining room. That makes the experience feel less like a short-term job and more like a steady place to build from.
