Childrens Advocacy Center
About Childrens Advocacy Center
At the Childrens Advocacy Center in Kaufman, a child does not have to keep repeating a painful story to a string of strangers. The center brings forensic interviews, counseling, advocacy support, and case coordination into one safe setting, so children and families can get help with less added trauma. Nearly 500 children come through each year for services, and in 2022, 1,102 children in Kaufman County came for help after severe abuse.
What sets this center apart is the way it keeps the child at the center of a process that usually feels fragmented. Investigation, prosecution, and treatment are coordinated across partner agencies, and services are delivered in a nurturing, safe environment designed to protect dignity and trust.
