About Dear Future
Dear Future focuses on the stuff that gets a child through the school day, notebooks, pencils, pads, and the support around them. In remote, extremely poor communities in Peru, Uganda, and Guatemala, that kind of help can mean showing up ready to learn instead of sitting out. The organization also builds and supports schools, so the work extends beyond a single kit or one-time delivery. If you want to back practical aid that meets children where they are, this is that kind of nonprofit.
What sets Dear Future apart is how rooted it is in remote communities, with local partnerships shaping delivery in Peru, Uganda, and Guatemala. The organization also gives children more than supplies, through pen pals, a literary competition, and school-building projects that help create longer-term support.

School Materials Program
Provides notebooks, pencils, erasers, rulers, crayons, glue, chalk, toilet paper, and other school essentials to children in remote and extremely poor communities.
Her Full Attendance
Provides disposable and reusable hygienic pads, along with menstrual health education, so girls do not miss school.
Pen Pal Program
Connects children across countries through pen pals.
Literary Tournament
A global literary competition that gives children from remote and overlooked communities a chance to share their stories.
School Construction
Builds and supports primary and secondary schools in Uganda, including a primary school in Wakiso and a high school project in Mayuge.

Our story
Dear Future started in 2018, when Ric Juarez and his brother Fernando began helping children in Peru. That early work supported orphanages and a pediatric oncology ward, then grew into Dear Future, a Texas nonprofit established in September 2021. From there, the work expanded to remote communities in Peru, Uganda, and Guatemala.
