Overview

About Homestead Refuge

Homestead Refuge offers female survivors of sex trafficking a safe place to land in Wellfleet, Nebraska, along with the practical support that comes after crisis. In 2024, it hosted one resident, provided recovery services to 5 women, and held 7 educational sessions with the community. For donors, the appeal is straightforward, it is meeting a deeply specific need with housing, counseling support, life skills help, and a real home base.

The setting matters here. Homestead Refuge is centered in a one-hundred-year-old refurbished farmhouse, with healing shaped by nature, love, and work. That gives survivors a place that feels lived-in and human, not institutional.
