About Houston Launch Pad
Houston Launch Pad starts with a simple idea: if a veteran is trying to get back on their feet, the help should be practical, personal, and close to home. In greater Houston, that means outreach, job readiness, apprenticeship training, housing referrals, transportation help, and case management for veterans facing homelessness or other barriers. The organization’s work is built around getting people from instability to a place with housing, employment, and support that lasts.
Houston Launch Pad does not stop at one step in the process. It stays with veterans through outreach, employment support, housing placement, and the kinds of practical extras that can make the difference between a plan and follow-through, like transportation help and work clothing. Higher Heights Aviation adds another lane, with FAA-funded training for veterans and community members at four Houston campuses.

THLP conducts personal outreach to veterans who are unserved and underserved, including releasees, substance abusers, and homeless persons. It provides job training, support services, and housing placement so no veteran is left behind.

How someone in need can access Houston Launch Pad’s services.
Applicants can contact the intake team or visit the office to begin enrollment. To qualify, a person must be a U.S. military veteran with a DD-214 or proof of service, currently homeless or at risk of homelessness, in need of employment services and support, residing in or near the Houston service delivery area, and able to participate in program activities.
