About K9 Detection Service
When someone is missing or human remains need to be recovered, K9 Detection Search & Rescue brings certified K9 teams to the search. The volunteer-led nonprofit supports government agencies across Texas and a five-state region, working in wilderness, urban, and aquatic environments. Donors help sustain the dogs, equipment, training, and operational support behind this specialized service.
K9 Detection Search & Rescue trains and maintains its own K9s and equipment, then deploys certified teams for human remains detection, water recovery, cold case searches, tracking, and recovery operations. Its volunteer-led teams also support law enforcement and professional search and rescue agencies with mapping, management, and other operational needs.
