About Kenyan Schools Of Hope
When a girl flees female genital mutilation or forced early marriage, the Ewuaso Osiligi Rescue Center offers more than a place to stay. It provides shelter, care, protection, and education, while the on-site school also serves children from the surrounding community. Kenyan Schools of Hope continues supporting rescued girls through family reintegration, secondary school, vocational training, or university, so safety and education can continue well beyond the first rescue.
The Ewuaso Osiligi Center gives girls residential protection while placing education at the heart of daily life. In 2025, it provided safety and care for 90 girls, including 52 living full-time on campus, 35 attending secondary school, and three in vocational school or university. The center also safely reintegrated 12 girls with their families that year, continuing to support their education and safety through regular check-ins.

Rescue center shelter and care
Provides a residential setting, shelter, food, clothing, nurturing caregivers, protection, and support for girls fleeing female genital mutilation and forced early marriage.

Provides on-site pre-kindergarten through junior secondary education for rescued girls and children from surrounding communities.
Secondary, vocational, and university education
Supports rescued girls attending secondary school, vocational school, college, or university, including transportation and related education expenses.

Sponsorships support a rescued girl’s shelter, food, clothing, education, school placement, progress reports, and correspondence when possible.
Counseling, mentoring, and spiritual development
Provides counseling, mentoring, Christian faith formation, prayer, worship, and awareness of girls’ and women’s basic human rights.
Family reintegration and follow-up
Explores and supports safe family reunification, with regular follow-up for girls receiving education and support from home.
Community education and outreach
Hosts community gatherings and outreach activities addressing the effects of female genital mutilation and forced early marriage.
Campus and water infrastructure
Develops and maintains facilities including the multipurpose hall, kitchen, classrooms, water tower, cisterns, and water sustainability projects.

Kenyan Schools of Hope provides safety, hope, education, shelter, support, and refuge to Kenyan girls fleeing female genital mutilation and forced early marriage through support for the Ewuaso Osiligi Rescue Center and School and contributions to registered community-based organizations in Kenya.
