At Kyle Area Senior Zone, adults 50 and older and disabled adults can find a full calendar of ways to stay connected, from weekly luncheons and movie nights to fitness classes, workshops, quilting, and games. Crafty Club, Senior Crafts, and Art from the Heart provide group opportunities to work on crafts and create art.
Kyle Quilters
Quilting meetings, classes, show-and-tell sessions, and group sewing activities. Quilters of all ages are welcomed.
The Silver Screen
A free senior movie night hosted with the City of Kyle Library and open to senior and disabled members of the public.
Community volunteer connections
KASZ connects members with volunteer opportunities at civic organizations, health and senior-care facilities, local services, and community events.
Community donation drives
Members participate in drives such as toy collections, plastic bag collection for mats for people experiencing homelessness, and other community support activities.

Mission
Kyle Area Senior Zone provides support and encouragement to advance the quality of life and general welfare of senior citizens through meetings, events, education, and recreation. It collaborates with government agencies, elected officials, social and civic organizations, businesses, and other entities to improve, promote, and advocate for the quality of life and general welfare of senior citizens.

Volunteer opportunities
- Prepare the ballroom for Tuesday lunches by counting silverware, decorating tables, and counting desserts.
- Clean up after lunches by bussing and wiping tables, washing dishes, and taking trash to the dumpster.
- Set up and staff the KASZ booth, including canopies, tables, and chairs.
- Decorate and work at KASZ events, including food setup, keeping food trays full, dish cleaning, and room cleanup.
- Serve as a City of Kyle ambassador, including staffing the City Hall front desk and directing citizens to departments.
- Serve on KASZ committees, chair activities, help run programs, assist with setup and breakdown, or seek board service.
- Participate in community volunteer activities connected with Meals on Wheels, senior-care facilities, hospitals, civic offices, local events, and charitable organizations.
- Help with toy-drive setup and distribution activities.
