Overview

About Maternity Home Lincoln

What stands out here is how much stays in place for a mother while everything else is shifting. At Mater Filius Lincoln, women facing an unexpected or under supported pregnancy can stay in private rooms, bring children under age five, and get meals, transportation, mentoring, and help with the day-to-day work of building a stable next step. It is the kind of support that does not stop at discharge, which matters when the goal is not just a safe stay, but a steadier life after it.

Mater Filius Lincoln gives mothers a place to live, support for children under age five, and follow-up after they leave. That aftercare, along with the child enrichment program and access to baby essentials through BLU*tique, makes the support feel continuous instead of temporary.

Stories

The people behind the work.

Hailey's experience at Mater Filius

A mother who stayed in a Mater Filius home in Nebraska described the volunteers as meeting her where she was and said the child enrichment center gave her confidence that her children would be cared for after she moved out.

What I learned at Mater Filius is that every woman has a different path, and the volunteers there will meet you where you are at.
