Overview

About Nebraska One Box Habitat

Nebraska One Box has a simple kind of appeal: a local hunt that helps pay for scholarships, youth shooting sports, and habitat restoration. Since 1981, it has awarded more than $400,000 to local scholars, with roughly $12,500 going out each year through the One Box Foundation. It also supports habitat projects that have restored over 3,000 acres in Custer County and surrounding counties, which gives the work a real, visible footprint close to home.

The annual One Box Pheasant Hunt is the heart of it, but it is not the whole story. The organization also supports the One Box Gun Club, scholarships for area high school seniors, and habitat projects that have grown into a long-running part of its fundraising tradition.
