Omaha Youth For Christ
About Omaha Youth For Christ
Omaha Youth For Christ meets middle and high school students across Greater Omaha through Campus Life, Parent Life, and camp experiences. The work is personal on purpose, connecting young people with caring adults, local churches, and community partners at moments that can shape what comes next. For donors, the draw is simple: this is faith-centered relationship work with teens and expectant or parenting young people, not from a distance, but right where life is happening.
What sets Omaha Youth For Christ apart is how directly it shows up in the places young people already are, in schools, in parenting life, and at camp. Its local approach centers on steady relationships and practical support, especially for students who need caring adults in the room.

Our story
Omaha Youth For Christ began in 1956, when Peter and Edwina Bergen founded Greater Omaha Youth For Christ with a citywide vision to reach young people with the hope of Jesus Christ. That early work laid the foundation for a local chapter that still centers relationships with students through school-based and community ministry.
