Overview

About Texas Mental Health Resources

A psychiatric medication, doctor visit, or support group can be an important next step, but cost and access can get in the way. Texas Mental Health Resources helps people and families find mental health resources, receive financial assistance for care, and connect through MindCare peer groups. From its Arlington group, which averages about 20 participants twice each month, to support groups being developed in 12 Texas cities, the organization is building a broader network of help across Texas.

Texas Mental Health Resources pairs MindCare peer-to-peer groups with financial assistance for psychiatric medications, procedures, doctor visits, and other mental health care costs. It also trains civic, religious, hospital, school, and other organizations to better understand and address mental health challenges, while directing additional support to veterans, active military personnel, senior adults, teenagers, children, and families.
