About Austin Boxer Rescue
Austin Boxer Rescue takes in unwanted, stray, abused, impounded, and owner-surrendered Boxers across Texas, then gets to work on the basics first, nourishment, medical care, and a safe place to land. In 2024, 375 dogs were adopted and 21 Silver Hearts found homes, including older Boxers who need extra care. If you care about dogs that have already had a hard start, this is the kind of rescue that turns urgency into placement.
What sets Austin Boxer Rescue apart is how many paths it keeps open for a Boxer in need. There is foster-based placement, a kennel for urgent intake, and a Silver Hearts program for dogs age 10 and older, plus statewide work with shelters and owners who need help rehoming.

Allows donors to name a future rescued dog in exchange for a donation that helps cover medical bills.

Mission
To balance the health, safety, and welfare needs of canines in the state of Texas by providing nourishment and a safe environment for unwanted, stray, abused, and impounded Boxers. Once placed in new homes they become more than just pets, they become family.
