Bright Hope World USA
About Bright Hope World USA
Bright Hope World USA works with indigenous leaders and churches who already know their communities, then helps resource the vision they bring. That means support can show up as microloans, farming training, school help, or relief after crisis, depending on what local partners say is needed. For donors, the pull is simple, this is a group that keeps the people closest to the need at the center of the work.
What sets Bright Hope World apart is how slowly and personally it builds partnerships. It spends years earning trust with local people already serving their communities, then stays with those relationships over time rather than dropping in and moving on. The organization also says most funds go to the field, which matches its low-overhead, partner-first approach.

Our story
Bright Hope World started with a short-term mission trip to Fiji, where Rob Purdue, then 20 years old, saw poverty close to New Zealand and carried that experience with him. After he and his wife Heather traveled widely and saw the need for local, relational partnerships, the organization was formed in 1992. The result was a poverty-focused effort built around low-overhead work, long relationships, and communicating the gospel.

In their words
Most of all we are here for the people who desperately need our help. We are unashamedly field driven. The needs of our partners come first. That is one of our core values as an organisation.
