Overview

About Community Alliance Housing

Community Alliance Housing helps people in Omaha and beyond live, work, learn, and contribute while navigating mental health and substance use challenges. That matters because support here is not limited to one moment or one need, it can start with a crisis line, continue through counseling or primary care, and extend into housing, rehabilitation, and peer support. For donors, the appeal is simple: this is practical care that meets people where they are and keeps showing up as needs change.

What sets Community Alliance apart is how many kinds of help it keeps within reach, from crisis response and behavioral health to housing, rehabilitation, peer support, family services, and primary care. It also offers Safe Harbor peer crisis diversion, youth programs, and telehealth across Nebraska, so care can fit real life instead of forcing people into one narrow path.

Origin

Our story

Community Alliance began in 2001 as a local grassroots effort started by family members who had adult children with serious mental illnesses. Their goal was straightforward and deeply personal, help people live, work, learn, and contribute in the Omaha community. Over time, that local start grew into an integrated provider of behavioral health, primary care, housing, rehabilitation, crisis, and recovery support services.
