About Family Life And Community Resource Center
At Family Life And Community Resource Center, the help is practical and close to home, whether that means victim support, parent education, youth leadership, counseling, or school readiness. Based in Houston and serving Fort Bend County and surrounding counties, FLCRC gives families more than one place to turn. Youth leadership, victim support, parent education, and school-readiness programming all live here, along with Texas Education Agency provider status for Continuing Professional Education units. Community outreach and engagement, connecting families to resources
Builds community connections and links youth, families, schools, and community members with resources and support.
GRIT victim services and Finding Your Grit
Provides free, confidential, comprehensive services to victims of crime, including case management, advocacy support, resource connections, and short-term or yearlong support. Finding Your Grit focuses on youth crime victims and healing through action.
Youth Ambassador Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) Program
Provides area-wide leadership opportunities for students in grades 5th through college to plan and implement community initiatives. Pre-Y.A.L.E. serves students in 5th to 8th grade.
Restorative Practices and Youth Leadership (RPYL) Program
Helps students respond to difficult situations in a positive manner and focuses on academic achievement, culturally relevant pedagogy, social emotional learning, character building, self-discipline, and student leadership.
Summer Enrichment Camp
Five-day summer camp for students in grades 2nd through college that includes reading, math, online learning, STEM, ACT/SAT preparation, easy writing, field trips, and college tours.
Back-to-School Parent Chat
Annual back-to-school event that shares educational information and community resources and distributes backpacks with school supplies.
Parent seminars and workshops, including College and Career Readiness Seminars
Monthly parent seminars and interactive college and career sessions covering life after high school, college admissions, career paths, and scholarship search strategies.
Counseling Services
Free virtual counseling for individuals experiencing emotional distress, provided by certified and licensed mental health professionals, with bilingual services available.
Bullying Awareness Community Conference
Community conference focused on bullying awareness.
Victim Intervention Program (VIP) Services
Victim support services for individuals and families.
Staff development training
Training for staff and education professionals.
