About Survive And Thrive Education
Survive And Thrive Education works with young people ages 12 to 24, especially those coming from marginalized circumstances, as they move toward high school graduation and post-secondary completion. Mission
To inspire and enable young people to meet their immense potential as scholars and positive contributors to society through their personal and professional aspirations.
Who they serve
Young people ages 12 to 24, primarily from marginalized circumstances, including students labeled at-risk, first-generation college students, Black and Latino students, students with state at-risk designation, SPED, LEP, and homeless students.
Their impact
- More than 1,200 program participants received post-secondary monetary assistance and micro grants.
- 13 leadership conferences were hosted for college-bound youths.
- More than 900 students made the Honor Roll once during their tenure in the program.
- Over $23 million in scholarships and grants were awarded to Destination Diploma students over the past three years.
- 46 students signed full-ride athletic scholarships.
- More than 250 alumni are currently enrolled or will be enrolled in post-secondary institutions.
- Over 200 first-generation students were accepted to some post-secondary institution.
- 25 SPED students were accepted to post-secondary institutions.
- More than 190 students were accepted to at least one HBCU.
