About Golden Retriever Rescue Of North Texas Inc
Since 1997, Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas has helped more than 3,000 Golden Retrievers find permanent homes in the North Texas area. Every dog is cared for in a volunteer foster home rather than a shelter or kennel, with veterinary treatment provided as needed. More than 90% of the organization’s total expenses go directly to veterinary care, so a donation helps cover the medical support that gives these dogs a real path forward.
Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue, which means dogs have a home while they receive care and wait for adoption. Its Permanent Foster Program also supports older dogs and dogs with ongoing medical needs who are not available for adoption, including their continuing veterinary care.

Provides long-term foster homes and ongoing veterinary care for Golden Retrievers who are not available for adoption, including older dogs and dogs with continuing medical needs.
Responsible pet ownership education
Educates the public about responsible pet ownership and the qualities and care needs of Golden Retrievers.
Owner surrender support
Accepts owner surrender requests for Golden Retrievers of all ages and conditions as foster space permits and coordinates intake evaluations.
Pet sitting for GRRNT alumni
Offers pet sitting by GRRNT volunteers for former adopters and their dogs, with donations supporting medical care for rescued Goldens.
