About Lamp Project
For someone experiencing homelessness, a missing ID, an unreachable healthcare provider, or a lack of transportation can turn one setback into several. In Houston, The Lamp Project works one-on-one with people to identify those barriers, build step-by-step plans, and keep showing up through the follow-up it takes to move toward housing, healthcare, recovery, income, and stability. Since September 2025, it has served more than 200 individuals, helped secure more than 100 essential documents, and supported 12 medication assistance cases.
The Lamp Project is built around continuity, not a single handoff. Most individuals receive 10 to 20 or more follow-up interactions as they work through multiple barriers, with personalized support that can continue as they move toward stability.
