Missoula Senior Citizens Center
About Missoula Senior Citizens Center
Missoula Senior Citizens Center gives seniors in downtown Missoula a place to show up for lunch, a game of bingo, a class, or just a familiar face. It is built around the kind of everyday things that keep people connected, fed, active, and part of something. For donors, that means supporting a place where fellowship is not an extra, it is the point.
What sets the center apart is how much life it packs into one volunteer-supported downtown space. Seniors serve seniors here, and that shows up in the mix of meals, games, thrift shopping, classes, dances, and community events that keep the center feeling like a real gathering place.

Our story
The center began with a dream Kathleen Walford shared in 1966, when she met with the Missoula Human Resource Council about creating a senior center. A year later, the State Council on Aging approved the project, and volunteers and donations helped turn the Victoria Hotel at 424 North Higgins into the new center. Since 1976, the organization has been active in its current location on Higgins.
