Real Talk Youth Impact Program
About Real Talk Youth Impact Program
Real Talk Youth Impact Program works with at-risk youth ages 8 to 18 in Southern Nevada, plus the parents and guardians around them. The pull here is simple: kids get practical support, from Change One meetings and tutoring to career prep and sponsored activities, while families get support of their own. It is built for the stretch of life when small choices can shape a lot, and for donors, that makes the case feel immediate.
What sets Real Talk apart is the way it brings lived experience into the room. Its speaker team includes former and present federal and state offenders who speak directly to young people about positive choices, alongside free monthly Change One meetings, a mandatory parent support group, and sponsored extracurricular activity funding.

Our story
Real Talk Youth Impact Program was founded in 2012 by Sheree D. Corniel after more than 20 years in law enforcement. She created the program to help keep children from entering the system by showing them positive options. Her own path in competitive fastpitch softball, which led to an athletic college scholarship and ultimately becoming an Olympian, also shaped the way she thought about opening doors for young people.
