About Small World Charities

Small World Charities puts its support behind abandoned and orphaned children at Berachah Bhavan Children’s Home in Bangalore, India. That means food, clean water, shelter, education, and medical care, plus help with school fees and higher-education costs for the children the home serves. If you like giving where the need is clear and the relationship is personal, this is that kind of charity.

What sets Small World Charities apart is how closely it stays tied to one place and one partner, Berachah Bhavan Children’s Home. The support is practical and specific, from clean water and everyday care to school fees, 11th and 12th grade, and even a bachelor’s degree for one student.

Origin

Our story

In 2015, Kenneth Crowder visited Berachah Bhavan Children’s Home in Bangalore and came back wanting to support the children there. He and his family returned in 2017, saw the need again, and Small World Charities officially incorporated in 2019 so it could raise broader support for the children’s home and, eventually, other children’s homes.

Stories

The people behind the work.

Sarah

A teenage girl known as Sabbamma was brought to Berachah Bhavan Children's Home in 2017 after being found wandering the street. Staff renamed her Sarah, had her evaluated by doctors, and helped her with autism, self-harm, daily activities, and regular meals.

She is no longer cursed, but "blessed and happy"

From two children to a growing home

Jeevan and Jisha began by taking in two abandoned children in 2006 and continued adding children each year. The home moved into a larger building in stages and was caring for 49 children by 2019.
