About Southeast Texas Family Resource Center Inc
More than 200 children find a safe haven here throughout the year, with after-school care and summer enrichment that make room for tutoring, reading instruction, computer access, skill development, and supervised activities. Children ages 4 to 14 receive a complete dinner during the school year, plus two meals and two snacks each summer day. The center also helps families access food assistance, education, training, computers, and local resources, with services designed to remain accessible regardless of what families can afford.
Southeast Texas Family Resource Center meets children where learning and daily life overlap. In one Charlton-Pollard community center, children can get support from certified reading teachers, use a STEM and computer lab, and receive meals, while parents, seniors, and other residents can find food assistance, computer literacy help, training, referrals, and neighborhood resources. The center has built more than thirty local partnerships to support that work.
