About Texas Winds Musical Outreach Inc
Texas Winds Musical Outreach brings free live performances into nursing homes, hospitals, hospice settings, senior centers, and preschool classrooms across North Texas. More than 1,400 concerts take place each season, including programs that serve 6,250 children through Head Start, Mi Escuelita, and Child Care Associates centers. Your gift helps put music within reach for older adults, veterans, patients, families, and children who may have limited access to the arts.
Texas Winds does not wait for people to get to a concert hall. Small ensembles bring professional music directly to care, living, medical, and educational spaces across Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton Counties, where close interaction can nurture connection, awaken memories, and support morale.
Programs

Concerts for Seniors
Live performances in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, senior centers, adult day facilities, low-income senior housing, retirement homes and other senior living spaces. Music, humor and education are used to nurture connection, awaken fond memories and support morale.
Concerts for Hospitals and Hospice
Professional music performances for hospitalized patients, veterans, families, medical staff and people receiving hospice care in Dallas County hospitals and VA North Texas Health Care System facilities.
Concerts for Head Start and Preschool Children
The “Meet the Instruments” series provides educational music programs for preschool children in Head Start, Mi Escuelita, Child Care Associates centers and other preschools. Programs include instrument-focused presentations such as “The Ugly Duckling” and “The Little Engine That Could.”
Free Professional Musical Performances
Small ensembles and professional musicians bring live classical, country-western, Broadway pops, holiday, spiritual and other music directly to care, living and educational spaces at no charge.
