About Copper Quill Haven Inc
Copper Quill Haven is for the animals that end up on the wrong side of a door, stray, lost, abandoned, or just in need of help in Canyon County. It offers sheltering, adoption services, affordable veterinary care, and prevention work like spay and neuter, vaccines, and trap-neuter-return. If you care about keeping animals safe while also helping more of them get home, this is the kind of local work that matters.
What sets Copper Quill Haven apart is how much of the animal care continuum it keeps under one roof in Canyon County, from sheltering and adoption to affordable veterinary and prevention services. That includes help for community cats through trap-neuter-return, plus spay and neuter and low-cost vaccines for dogs and cats.

Our story
Copper Quill Haven began with Dr. Natasha Laughter, who wanted a nonprofit that brought together high-quality veterinary expertise, responsible financial stewardship, and compassionate animal care. The name comes from Copper, a dog adopted in 2017, and the moment Natasha and Earl cared for her after a porcupine encounter.
