About Kings Row Community Life Center

Kings Row Community Life Center gives Northern Nevada families a place to land before and after school, with tutoring, transportation to select schools, and enrichment for children. It also offers on-site reading intervention, speech pathology, counseling support, and resources for single-parent families, which means support can show up in more than one way when families need it. For donors, that makes this feel less like a single service and more like a steady presence in the neighborhood.

What sets Kings Row apart is how much of the day-to-day load it can take on for families, from school-age care and homework help to transportation and on-site reading and speech services. It also keeps single-parent families in view, with additional resources and community-based support.

The people behind the work.

A family-centered place for school breaks and creative activities

A parent said the children have attended for two years, enjoy school breaks at the center, and appreciate the creative activities and support they receive.

We have been coming to CLC for 2 years now, but it feels like forevver! All of our staff are AMAZING and my kids absolutely love coming here for all their school breakas. They do so many fun and creative activities with the kids!

Support that helps a child feel safe and settle in

A parent described how the center welcomed a daughter who was struggling in another aftercare setting, helping her feel safe and improving her behavior at home and at school.

The CLC was happy to take her in, and help her settle in and feel safe. Her behavior has not only improved in their care, but also at home and even her teacher has seen improvements.
