Overview

About Hookers For Jesus

Hookers For Jesus centers women who have been pushed through sex trafficking, prostitution, exotic dancing, escorting, and the adult entertainment industry, then offers a way forward that starts with safety. Its Destiny House program gives women no-charge transitional housing, counseling, life-skills training, and faith-based support, while outreach meets women where they are, including hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and the Clark County Detention Center. Over the last 20 years, its programs have served more than 15,000 women.

This is survivor-founded and survivor-led, which shapes everything about how it works. Alongside safe housing, it reaches women through street outreach, jail outreach, and support outside Destiny House, so help is not limited to one doorway or one program.

Origin

Our story

In 2005, after surviving more than a decade of sex trafficking, Annie Lobert started Hookers For Jesus. What began as grass-roots outreach to women in the sex industry grew into a survivor-led ministry, and a 2007 vision for homes for women became Destiny House, a safe place to live while healing from trafficking trauma.
