Missoula Manor Homes
About Missoula Manor Homes
Missoula Manor Homes gives adults 62 and older a place to live independently in Missoula, with studio and one-bedroom apartments that are built around daily comfort, not just square footage. Residents also have access to meals, service coordination, and on-site amenities that make the building feel like more than housing. For donors, the appeal is straightforward: it supports older neighbors with a stable community and the practical pieces that help people stay there. It serves about 126 residents and provides more than 45,000 meals each year.
What sets Missoula Manor Homes apart is how much of daily life it supports in one six-story community for adults 62 and older. Housing, lunch and dinner, service coordination, and a long list of resident amenities all sit together in the same place, which gives the building a very specific kind of usefulness. Its roots in local civic sponsorship also speak to how deeply tied it is to Missoula.

Our story
Missoula Manor Homes began with local volunteers who saw a need and got to work. Sponsored by Missoula Aerie and Auxiliary #32 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in September 1969, members formed the Missoula Manor Homes Corporation and spent three years developing the plan, securing the land, working with an architect, and supervising construction. The first residents moved in on June 14, 1972, and meals started on July 1, 1972. Over time, the community added a chapel, laundry room, beauty parlor, resident market, guest room, exercise area, visiting masseuse, dental hygienist, library, shuffleboard table, pool table, and pianos.
