Saved Dogs And Sane Chicks
About Saved Dogs And Sane Chicks
Saved Dogs And Sane Chicks steps in for dogs who have already had a rough start, from abandonment and neglect to abuse and injury. From there, the work is hands-on, with foster care, medical treatment, behavioral assessment, and adoption support built into the process. It also gives women who care about rescue work a place to show up for the dogs and for each other.
What stands out here is the care after rescue. This is not just intake and adoption, it is foster-based placement, medical support, and behavioral work that helps dogs land more safely in new homes. The women-centered community around that work gives the organization a clear, personal identity.

Our story
Saved Dogs And Sane Chicks began as a grassroots, foster-based rescue in Tomball, Texas. Terra and Christine started it with a focus on rescuing dogs from abandonment, neglect, and abuse, then giving them the medical care, nutrition, socialization, and behavioral support they need. From the beginning, it also created a community where women and adopters support one another through rescue and companionship.
