Las Vegas has a surprising roster of nonprofits doing practical work overseas, and the impressive ones are not trading in vague awareness. They are moving food to Ukrainian orphanages, powering clinics in Ethiopia, sponsoring girls in Zambia, backing rural schools in India, and, in one Kenyan village, turning a single well into clean water for 1,126 people.
